terms of service

1. eligibility

• you must be at least 18 years old.
• you must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

2. your account

• one account per person. you may only create one larry match account. duplicate accounts will be suspended.
• x login only. authentication happens exclusively through x (twitter) oauth. there is no email/password signup. apple login can be used in ios native app (not in browser).
• you are responsible for maintaining the security of your x account. if your x account is compromised, your larry match account may be affected.
• we can suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, at our discretion.

3. how larry match works

larry match uses ai to analyze your x activity and conversations on the app and find compatible matches.

• ai matching is not guaranteed. we use ai to suggest matches based on compatibility, but we make no guarantees about match quality, quantity, or outcomes. but like, we think its gonna be good.
• token economy. actions within the app are governed by a token economy. tokens may be earned or purchased. tokens have no monetary value, are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. we reserve the right to modify token pricing, earning rates, and costs at any time.
• your profile is updated directly through conversation with larry. if there is an issue, contact support via form on larrymatch.com
• your ai bio is private. you may inquire larry about it. others will only receive a brief and guarded summary on the match card

4. selfie verification

• during onboarding, you may be asked to take a selfie to verify your identity. by proceeding with verification, you consent to larry match using facial comparison ai technology to compare your selfie against your profile photos.
• biometric data notice: this process involves the collection and processing of biometric identifiers (facial geometry). your selfie is processed in real-time and discarded immediately after comparison. we do not permanently store selfie images or biometric templates.
• verification is optional. you may skip it, but your profile will not display a verified badge.
• if you change your profile photos after verification, we may automatically re-verify by comparing your new photos against existing verified photos. if a different person is detected, your verified status will be removed.

5. content rules

• photos: you are responsible for any photos you upload. no explicit, nude, or sexually suggestive content is permitted on profiles. violating this will result in immediate account suspension.
• chat: be respectful in messages with other users. no harassment, threats, hate speech, or unsolicited explicit content.
• you grant larry match a non-exclusive license to use your uploaded content for the purpose of providing the service (displaying your profile to potential matches).

6. prohibited conduct

you agree not to:

• create fake or misleading profiles
• impersonate another person
• use larry match for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation
• harass, stalk, or threaten other users
• use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service
• attempt to circumvent the token system or exploit bugs
• share other users' private information outside the app
• use the app if you are under 18
• create multiple accounts

7. geographic restrictions

larry match is not available in all countries. we restrict access in jurisdictions where individuals face criminal penalties to protect user safety. attempting to circumvent geographic restrictions (e.g., via vpn) is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

8. explore mode subscription

• pricing: explore mode costs $9.99 per month, billed through stripe.
• auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews each month at $9.99/month (or the then-current price) until you cancel. you will be charged on the same date each month. by subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to this automatic renewal.
• how to cancel: you can cancel auto-renewal at any time through the stripe billing portal, accessible from your profile settings. to avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.
• cancellation: you can cancel your subscription at any time. your explore mode features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• no refunds: we do not offer refunds for partial months or unused portions of your subscription.
• price changes: we may change pricing with 30 days notice. continued subscription after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

9. intellectual property

larry match, including its ai models, matching algorithms, ui design, and branding, is our intellectual property. you may not copy, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service.

you retain ownership of your photos and chat content.

10. disclaimers

• service provided as-is.larry match is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. we don't guarantee uptime, accuracy of ai analysis, or match quality.
• user interactions. we are not responsible for the behavior of other users. any interactions you have with matches, whether online or in person, are at your own risk.
• ai limitations. ai-generated personality profiles and match suggestions are probabilistic and may not be accurate. they should not be taken as definitive assessments of character.

11. limitation of liability

to the maximum extent permitted by law, larry match's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or emotional distress.

12. account termination

• by you: you can delete your account at any time. all your data will be permanently deleted per our privacy policy.
• by us: we can suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice for serious violations. suspended users may not create new accounts.

13. changes to these terms

we may update these terms as the service evolves. material changes will be communicated through the app. continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. if you disagree with updated terms, stop using the service and delete your account.

14. dispute resolution and arbitration

please read this section carefully. it affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.

informal resolution first

before initiating arbitration, you agree to first contact us at privacy@larrymatch.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. most disputes can be resolved without formal proceedings.

binding arbitration

if we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and larry match llc agree to resolve any claims through final and binding individual arbitration administered by the american arbitration association ("aaa") under its consumer arbitration rules. arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator. the arbitrator's decision will be final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.

opt-out right

you may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to privacy@larrymatch.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms. your notice must include your name, x handle, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

small claims exception

either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court in your county of residence or in new york, ny, instead of arbitration.

class action waiver

you and larry match llc agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. if this class action waiver is found unenforceable, then the entire arbitration agreement shall be void.

jury trial waiver

you and larry match llc waive the right to a jury trial for any disputes subject to this arbitration agreement.

15. governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the state of new york, united states. any disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the courts of new york.
